Talking about my career engaged in cancer research, first I should start by describing my background; I wasn’t educated in this field…
To lay the foundation for cancer research of the future
I majored in Biochemistry at Nanjing University, in Nanjing, China. Nanjing University is China’s major university.
I am a Scientist and I worked at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing, which is China’s most advanced scientific research unit. I engaged in biochemical research while I was there for 10 years.
Cancer research in the National Cancer Institute, USA
I did biomedical research for more than six years, mainly engaged in cancer research in the world’s most authoritative US National Institutes of Health (NIH).
I was a Research Scientist with the New York State Dept. of Health, Wadsworth Ctr. for Labs and Research for two years, which is located near Empire State Plaza in Albany, New York.
I studied glycometabolism of the human body by cutting enzymes. This helps people to find solutions for those with high blood sugar and diabetes.
I worked on isolation and characterization of new oligosacchride chain – cleaving enzymes.
Cancer research for a special mission of the US Military
On this basis, I undertook a special mission of cancer research– I used a novel Nucleic Acid Technology, which can be highly amplified for testing HIV and used with a variety of different clinical drugs to treat AIDS patients for the US Military.
I was the only one of Chinese descent to participate in this particular HIV research project of the US Military.
A cancer research conducted in Toronto
I have also done cancer research work on various aspects of Colon Cancer at University of Toronto.
I worked at the Chinese Medical Clinic, and dispensed herbs to patients. I am familiar with Chinese herb medicine.
With the accumulation of knowledge and experience, I developed my own ideas for future work. I founded Yana Health Nutrition Clinic and hope that I can use my medical knowledge and personal experience to contribute to helping others.
Because of my professional success, I was recognized with the title Elite International Business Leader.
